Woke Up Optimistic, Went to Bed Sarcastic
Most days, I wake up thinking, "Ah, a new day, full of endless possibilities!"
But by the time the sun sets, after scrolling through social media and seeing people arguing over whether pineapple belongs on pizza as if it’s the next civil war, and witnessing the ever-widening chasm between the 'woke' and the 'don't-care,'
I may have woken up optimistic but at the end of the day I find myself muttering "What the fuck? Stop the world, I want to get off!"
By the end of the day, I just shake my head,
Thinking, "What the fuck?" as I crawl into bed.
If this is progress, then count me out quick,
Stop the world, I need off this lunatic's trip.
